Perfectly Premature

It is all as it should be

It is all as it ought

Whether we at the moment realize it

Or not.

When the time seems unripe

Let yourself

Be assured:

What may seem incomplete

Or half-prepared to endure

Is nonetheless just

Perfectly premature.

Let Laughter

delight in a box

Let laughter

Ripple through you

Like ribbons

Of joy.

Let it fill you

With mirth.

Let it buoy you

Aloft

When the world

Tilts ahoy.

Your Counsel

alma in class

Photo: Osnat Halperin-Barlev

Make room for growth

Inside yourself,

So that you may find counsel

In the wisdom

You possess,

And in the unfolding knowledge

That might feel today

Not much more

Than a guess.

Incubate Hope

Central Park early spring NY

Hold on close

To the hope

Even if

It is a bit

Tired.

So no matter the noise

Distraction desires,

Hope remains warmed

In soul

Where truth never

Expires.

Not Immovable

Even the mountains

Seeming well set in stone

Their uncompromising

Place so solidly headstrong

Can move

Themselves

Pebble by pebble

Rainstorm by rainstorm

To places one had

Never thought

A mountain

May join.

The Glorious Unfurling

beauty in the weeds AtaraKatz

Photo: Atara Katz

Do not stifle

Truth

Or hope.

Hold fast the

Pieces

That were

In fear

Squelched back

Or were suppressed

By those pretending

To be

Righteous.

Let go.

Let be

The glorious unfurling

Of your being.

It is who you have been

Meant

To grow into

Before

And all along.

Glint and Shine

May the light

Spark the day

Glinting awe

On its way.

May the waves

Hug the sand

As your heart

Understands.

Do Not Feed The Gremlins

Nightmares of old

Photo: A. Asif

Do not feed the gremlins,

The worries

The woes

Do not feed the problems,

The myriad of “No”s.

Feed instead shoots of hope

Tender hearts

Ways to cope,

Feed the thanks

And the kindness,

Feed the soul

Evermore

With all things

Grateful

For.
