As Sun rose
In the east
It darned
A web of light upon
The leaves,
And sprinkled gold on
Spiders’ orbs
That dangled from
The eaves.
The artist watched the dawn
And breathed.
For though her heart
Believed,
She knew her fingers
Do not have the skill
To tessellate this wonder
Into the mosaic that
Her soul
Perceived.

Beautiful, Na’ama. Nature and her gifts – we just can’t compete.

I don’t think we’re meant to … for we are one, already. 🙂
Isn’t nature fantastic?!!! 🙂 xoxo

Nature is more than fantastic! xoxo

Yep. And it just rained on me IN THE SUNSHINE (big fat drops heralding the coming of big strong thunderstorms) but out of blue sky with merely puffy fluffers in the far horizon. Comes to show. Nature doesn’t even need clouds to make rain … Or does she? 😉

Lovely poetic use of the prompt, Na’ama. Enjoyed it. I love rain, period (not so much thunder and lightning, frightening, ya know).

Glad you liked it! I happen to love thunderstorms, but mostly from the safety of the indoors … 😉

I love rain (pluviophile) but when the thunderstorms and lightning are too close, I’ll pass. 🙂

Too close it too close. How close is too close is … well … a matter of circumstance.

Fine use of imagery from nature .Even the best artist can’t reproduce those kinds of things

So true, Larry! We can at most try to get close to capturing some of the emotion, or imagery, or visual aspects, of what nature had produced.
