The Vanishing Point

At the vanishing point

They have passed

To be gassed,

Leaving us

To a world

That forever now must,

Not forget

How the place

Of no return

Has been crossed,

And we none are

The same

For hate’s shadow’s

Been cast.

In the name of those

Vanished

Who shall not be forgot,

We can vow to hold hope,

And let compassion

Outlast.

In Flight

In the slight pause between

Flapping up,

Flapping down,

Live the breath

And the lift

That propel

To carry on.

Sailed Horizon

I will paddle into sunlight

Where the ocean

Kisses sky,

Where the sailboats’

Neat triangles

Patch the blue

With bits of pie.

If Eyes Could Speak

Ethiopia8 DvoraFreedman

If eyes could speak,

They’d tell of roads

No one should take,

And hardship that

Does not build,

But breaks.

If eyes could speak,

They’d share the stories

Of long paths,

That some must walk

With shattered hearts.

If eyes could speak,

They’d share hope, too.

For being seen

Brings light into

What one must know,

And one must do.

What Matters Most

Newborn A YiscaFreeman

What matters most

Are those we wrap

In loving arms

To keep from harm.

What matters most

Are those who hold

All future steps

Yet to unfold.

Golden Goal

Temple Glory AdiRozenZvi

In temples

Festooned

Not for one day

But all,

Glory shines

Festive gold

For good luck

To prolong.

In less toured

But more lived-in

Where the city

Does sleep,

Amidst tall

Modern buildings

Walk-up homes

Wrapped in trees.

Snow Angel

An angel had been here

But it is here no more.

All it left is an imprint

Of what could be, before.

Will it come back

To see us?

Will it our wishes grant?

Deep in sparkling snow

I don’t know

If it will

If it can’t.

All That Glitters

Rooster Bling NaamaYehuda

In the contest for

Bling,

He will certainly

Win.

In the roll call for

Glamour,

He will rise above

Clamor.

In the race for the

Best

He’s the most smartly

Dressed.

As cool temple guards

Go

He’s the top of the

Show.
