Pink Ribbon

If I could have a pink

Ribbon

Large enough to show my love

Of you

Who fought

And lived

And fought

And passed

And fight on

Still,

I would need the whole breadth

Of sky

To mark

It’s size

And enlist the heavens

As both paint

And quill.

Blue Planet

Serpentine line

Undulates across planes

Amidst the snowed patches of

Rugged terrain.

Spread below

To horizon

Of blue onto blue

This one planet

We share

All of us –

Me and you.

There’s naught much more needed

To fill the heart with song,

Than the Great Outdoors

With loved ones along.

At the edge of the day

Nestled flush

With the bay,

Light will dance

As it may

To invite you

To stay.

There she stands,

Belongs,

Enlivened

By the land

That mountains birthed,

And the knowledge

Of the power

That she holds

Through Mother Earth.

In A While

May flowers2 NaamaYehuda

Photo: Na’ama Yehuda

In a while

There will be all colors

Of the rainbow

And then some

More.

In a while

There will be radiant

Greens and sunny yellows

And all the different

Shades of

Purple

To show.

In a while

The monochrome of winter

Will make way for

Brightly colored

Spring

To make eyes and hearts

Glow.
