When the light

Aligns just right

And the ebb and flow

Combine

To sheer insight,

She breathes in

To allow

The soul expanding

Syzygy

Of hope and

Love and

Heart.

Painted Sky

They woke

To see

The painted sky,

Where spirits

Skated

Angel-winged

On light and

Turquoise dye,

And looped the

Heavens

And the earth

Like stars

Learning to fly.

Pink Ribbon

If I could have a pink

Ribbon

Large enough to show my love

Of you

Who fought

And lived

And fought

And passed

And fight on

Still,

I would need the whole breadth

Of sky

To mark

It’s size

And enlist the heavens

As both paint

And quill.

Serpentine line

Undulates across planes

Amidst the snowed patches of

Rugged terrain.

Spread below

To horizon

Of blue onto blue

This one planet

We share

All of us –

Me and you.

There’s naught much more needed

To fill the heart with song,

Than the Great Outdoors

With loved ones along.
