Baby berries
In barbed bushes
That protect
The precious parcels
From beaks and bears
And plucking fingers
Poised to pry
The ripe supply.

You have come to my
Backyard,
To my desert,
My home.
So why look
So surprised
To see me coming
Along?
Trivia:
Nubian ibex (Capra nubiana) are desert-dwelling goat species that are found in mountainous areas of North Africa and the Middle East. The wild population is considered “vulnerable” and is estimated at only 1,200 individuals. Nubian ibexes stand around 65–75 cm (2.1–2.6 ft) tall at the shoulder and weigh around 50 kilograms (110 lb). They live in rough dry mountainous terrain and are a light tan color, with a white underbelly. Males also have a dark brown stripe down the back. Nubian ibexes have long thin horns which extend up and then backwards and down. In males these reach around about 1 meter (~ 1 yard) in length while in females they are much smaller and reach around 30 cm (~ 1 foot).

Low to ground
Safe and sound
Sharing smiles all around
Their devotion
Abounds
As they glide
Side by side
Through the streets
In joyful ride.

In the moments when your eyes
Meet
Under canopies of cloth
Or sun
Or stars,
And the world recedes to
Nothing but
Who the both of you
Are,
When your
Union
Seals with
Promise
Ringed with hopes and tender
Kiss,
May you both know
That you do
And that your love
Can nurture
Bliss.

Standing out from
The crowd,
There is little more distinct
Than the
Distinctly
Indistinct.

Which way does this road wind?
Where to goes the crack?
Do the rocks that line the path
Hold answers
Or hold back?

In a while
There will be all colors
Of the rainbow
And then some
More.
In a while
There will be radiant
Greens and sunny yellows
And all the different
Shades of
Purple
To show.
In a while
The monochrome of winter
Will make way for
Brightly colored
Spring
To make eyes and hearts
Glow.

Not quite certain if it
Will be able to hold
The weight
Of tired swimmers,
Still it waits,
A little lopsided
And more than a tad
Tired
Itself.

And the water rushed
From the top
Of the mountain
To the valley below,
Urged by the
Perpetual motion
Of life in
Quenching flow.
