Fraud or Dare

When your mind wants one truth

But all facts show another,

Will you see what is there

Or mold sooth as you’d rather?

When you seek to believe

What you wish

Not what’s real,

Will you claim truth a fraud

Or urge gyp

Be revealed?

No Vacancy

Deny hate a room

In your heart

Anywhere.

Fill it instead

With soul truths:

The sweet breath

Of infants

Asleep against your chest.

Does not differentiate

Who is worthy of care.

Deny hate a room.

Allow compassion

Instead

To take hold

Everywhere.

Not Irrelevant

Do not let anyone tell you

That kindness

Is a privilege

For other times.

Do not let anyone convince you

That truth

Is peripheral

To the necessity of

Getting some things done.

Do not let anyone berate you

That hope is

Irrelevant

And you are somehow

Weak

For holding on

To empathy, veracity, civility, belief.

They are all

Relevant.

Especially

Now.

Lust Will Not Last

Park Alonim by Orly fuchs galchen

Some lust for power, covet shaming another, feed off anger and ire.

Some desire control, step on laws, trample all, heed no call but their gall.

Some relish what’s cruel, find odd joy in the crude, equate strength with the rude.

In their greed to succeed, they maim truth, cripple fact

And attack anyone who attempts to talk back.

But fear not:

Lust turns old

Greed grows cold

Lies don’t hold.

In the end, it’s foretold:

Truth takes root

Hearts bear fruit

Love unfolds

Life’s real gold.

Be Tender

Be tender as you tender views and voice perspectives.

Be tender as you offer paths that some refuse (or fear) to take.

Be tender as you formulate your retorts to invectives.

Be tender even as you know how much’s at stake.

Be tender as you tender truth

As you hold fast to honest, fair objectives.

Do not lose heart

Even as some lose moral compass

And attempt to stain integrity

As disrespect.

Restore Reality

expose

Be brave.

It’s time. It’s been time for too long. It feels eternity.

Take heart … tune off naysayers … and remove the grime of fakery and deception. Speak fact to polish off stains of misinformation, so Truth can once more spread its wings to sunlight, unburdened from prevarication.

Expose the burnish of veracity from under messy piles of perfidy.

Be kind, be firm, and wipe clean fib to showcase verity.

Reality awaits. Impatiently.

It is past time.

Dis-pro-portion

There is more good than bad in our world,

yet often bad shouts louder.

There’s more that’s beautiful than not,

though ugliness might steal the hour.

Love holds truth far more than hate,

and radiates the brighter.

So … be mindful of the disproportion …

as dark creeps in to dim what’s lighter.

And know:

Hearts will out-sing cacophony when led by hope,

even if fear may prowl the farther.

Qualm Balm

cat hug

When you fret in worry,

Field misgivings,

Try to still the shiver

Of concern

Of doubt

Of qualm.

Take a moment

To get grounded

And remember what you know

In soul, in heart, in mind:

Sooth exists.

It

Lives

Between the breaths

Of Love’s

Eternal

Balm.
