The more chaotic life becomes
With power hungers gaining ground,
The more determined then I am
To point the beauty that surrounds,
The heart and kindness that abound
And the true peace that won’t succumb.

In a world of Divine
Prophecies
Of all kinds,
Little wonder
A Mantis
Folds green limbs
To Life’s design.

Water-worn by the ages
By the floods
By the rain,
Time has carved
Eras’ layers
Through the rock
Grain by grain.
Scars of years
Line the wadi
To funnel life –
None in vain.

In a city that
Never
Sleeps
It soars high,
With the weight of the
World
Hollowed out,
Scraping sky.

They called them “The Twins”
And termed them inseparable.
Though they each had a name
Using those seemed interminable.
There was ease in regarding
Two beings at once
When the duo rarely gave
Singularity a chance.

As the first freesia
Bravely blooms
Buds await
In scaly wombs
Till it tastes
Sun’s perfume.

How does time spiral on itself
Even as it unfolds to expand
Outwards?
How do the faces that your mind recalls
Rekindle scenes that take you
Backwards?
And how do those refill your hand
With all of what you’re working
Towards?
Maybe it is all as it should
As long as tender hearts reflect their kindness
Onwards.

You may wish to give new meaning
And claim lies as your own truth,
But even if you abrogate
Alliance
And turn away
From honor, sooth,
It does not undo long history
Nor turn the facts into
Fake news.

Hold my hand
And we’ll go
Up the hill
As we sow
Seeds of light
For the thrill
Of just watching
You grow.

Something here does not fit
King or not
No one ought
