Abrogate

You may wish to give new meaning

And claim lies as your own truth,

But even if you abrogate

Alliance

And turn away

From honor, sooth,

It does not undo long history

Nor turn the facts into

Fake news.

Antidote

There are whispers

In the Ether,

Toxic stories meant

For loss of hope.

They are phantoms.

Do not listen as

Malignant news

Grabs scope.

Find instead

The breath of valor.

Seek the children,

Help them cope.

Hold up truth,

Unfurl your kindness

To withstand

Slithery slopes.

No-Budge Sludge

There is sludge

That won’t budge

There is gumming of parts

So the muck

Becomes stuck

As so many now fudge

And prefer to hold grudge

‘Stead of clearing the gunk

Of those who claim truth is junk

Who treat lies

As their prize

And demise

As new highs.
