Feel the midday
Glow expand
Sense the gently
Heated sand.
Dampened clothes,
Digging hands,
China they’re intent
To find.
Make the most
Of wonderland.
It previews warmth
So close behind.

Lovely poem, Na’Ama, I can see so much warmth in the sand! Hope you enjoyed your Mother’s Day!

Isn’t it great how the photo can somehow make the ‘feel’ there? Why I love both photography (which isn’t my forte, but still a pleasure) and writing — for being able to paint a scene inside another person’s mind, without them actually being there.
Let alone together!

I thought EXACTLY that when I took the photo of these cuties (they are family, but hey, this doesn’t mean I’m not TOTALLY objective!) last month, on the first (and almost only) REALLY summery day we’d had while I was overseas.
It was delicious.
