Stepped Up Conversation

What did she want in that bottle?

What did the store owner allow?

Did her friend understand why it mattered

And how?

Did her own yellow sandals

That fit only sort of

Used to hang in the window

In a bag from above?

What words did they exchange?

Did the girl smile or sigh?

I look at this photo and wonder

What she had asked to buy.

There is no need to bludgeon

To clobber

To hammer it home.

Butting heads is cathartic

But leaves no one informed.

Get points across kindly

For effective reform.

She is deliberate. She takes her time.

Each line is drawn with distinct goal. Each color chosen with remarkable concentration. Each curve labored on in exact determination.

After all, the letters aren’t ‘just’ a prelude to a word expressed. It is none of it ‘just’ idle practice …

It is her name she’s working on, a profound soul-expression.

Three Line Tale: Opener

The stage is set to hushed repose

Incipient characters rush forth

Turn simmering muse to full on prose.
