For The Daily Post

When you fret in worry,
Field misgivings,
Try to still the shiver
Of concern
Of doubt
Of qualm.
Take a moment
To get grounded
And remember what you know
In soul, in heart, in mind:
Sooth exists.
It
Lives
Between the breaths
Of Love’s
Eternal
Balm.
For The Daily Post
Find a moment to reflect
The good
The promising
The delightedly
Delightful:
The you
You knew
And
Perhaps
forgot.

May the heart of life be open
To the light
And may the truth of human
Goodness
Be uncovered.
May false layers
Of defended animosity
Peel away the
Pretended differences
And empty superiorities
That aim to keep
Empathy
From taking hold.
May the heart of love
Be open.
May humanity find way
To the universally
Innate
Imperative
Unending
Veracity
Of hope.

When details crowd you in — take a step into quiet.
When to-dos heap on tasks — take a moment, be still.
When emotions flood senses — take a breath, shed a tear, find your laughter.
When frustration creeps in — let it be, let you be, let it roll.
Relax the hold
Of control.
When minutia takes over the foreground — lift your soul, find horizon.
When time flies beyond call — stop the clocks.
Let it slide.
Let the the mess have a corner.
Let it go.
It is fine.
Life will flow.
Take a breath.
Unclasp
The grip
Of control.

Reach deep into your soul
And you will see
Shared roots hold
All that we have ever been
And all that we are
Meant to be.
For The Daily Post

Not all that shows outside, is what may be within.
Not all reflection knows the spirit
Light or dark or dim.
Be kind to those whose face is blank.
Be kind to those whose face speaks more.
You never know
The depth of life
That simmers, yearns, below.
For The Daily Post

In one heart, mix equal parts:
Pearls of connection, words of caring, acts of kindness, steps of courage, hugs of comfort, breaths of peace, paths of truth, smiles of joy, touches of compassion.
Brew with gentleness till ample Hope forms.

Conquer worry, vanquish panic
Climb peaks of improbability
And do not let what is or isn’t feasible
Take the best of what
Is possible.
Master hope
Defeat all hate
Into compassionate submission.
Ascend into yourself
As you were meant to be:
A part of all that is
Uniquely interconnected
No better and no less
Than any other who draws breath.
For The Daily Post

Be awake.
In the world. For the world.
Be aware.
Of the life that unfolds
On pinpoint.
Keep your eyes
Open.
And your heart
Soft.
Wake up all words
Of hope.
Even those
Packed away in tight bundles
And locked.
Be awake
To the air. To the light. To the rain.
As shimmer reflects
And compassion
Remains.
