Find the string of life
That thrums within you
And play your music –
Bold or timid
Loud or soft,
It is unlike any other
Ever heard
Yet
As eternal
And familiar
As the beat that drums
Inside all living
Chests.

Life will loop back
Onto itself
A coil of time,
A wreath of memories
Unwound,
Revisiting.
Hold tight. Ride on.
A curve will come.
A turn to grow.
Till the next loop
Flows back
Contracting
Time.

A moment in time (Photo: Atara Katz)
In the pause
Between the breath in
And breath out
There’s a moment
In time
Of
Eternity
Slowed,
All movements
Frozen,
Thawed,
Life
Buoyed.

The earth, the air, the water;
The sun, the sea, the dust of stars;
The times that passed and built the present;
Things nascent now that
Have not yet become –
All intertwined.
We’re none of us alone
Or separate.
Aware or not,
Collaboration
Is and always been
The only way
For life
Aligned.

When angst and woe pass through
In you,
Remember:
Hope and love
May temporarily feel masked
But
Are the only
Permanence.

Be keen
Be ardent
Be earnest in your zeal for better heart, more soul.
Find passion in all that you devote yourself to, breathe for.
Live avidly.
Live whole.

I don’t know if I can
I don’t know if I can’t
My life flows in the spaces
Between heart and mind
As I wait to unfold
Into what will evolve
Around corners
Behind bumps
Where possibility
Stands.

Some things in life mean more.
Or should.
To any.
Safety. Food. Clean water. Air. Shelter.
Connection to another.
Some things mean less.
Or can.
At least to many.
Money. Fame. Opinion. Power.
They swing in winds-of-value, superfluous.
For they can matter only if necessity already filled
One’s pantry.
