Glaring Dare

In the midst of what glares

Too-hot stares

Reckless dares

Everywhere,

Find a moment to spare

Take a breath, be aware

Of the beauty

The air

And the hope

That we share

If we care

To embrace all that’s there

And declare

No despair

As we pledge

No warfare

And instead

Seek repair.

People’s Climate March

People’s Climate March NYC — Adam Smith

Today, in NYC

And all around the world

The People’s march

For Climate, for

The world

That we live in

For the children

To whom we will leave it

For the living beings

That need to breathe

And feed

And grow.

One march

One purpose

In New York City

In Paris, London, Amsterdam

Sidney, Stroud, Zurich

Genoa, Rio, Rome

Melbourne, Munich

Brussel, Brisbane, Berlin

New Delhi, Kathmandu, Canberra

Huddersfield, The Hague, Hyderabad.

A People’s march

For the climate

For the blue marble

That holds us all together

On its surface

And that we must hold dear to

In our doings

In our hearts.

More Alike Than Different

Sharing a link below to a fabulous set of photos from around the world, of parents with their children, doing the things parents and children do best: living life, sharing smiles, bonding, comforting, playing, laughing, being, holding … loving.

The locations are almost redundant, inasmuch as they portray universality, anyway.

Because we are, all of us, far more alike than different.

May our commonality be what leads humanity going forth, and not the smallish misconception of separation. After all, what seems different is insignificant once you strip reality down to its components: care, love, connection, hope.
