It is not
The bruisers
Who denote
Importance
For what one should
Obey or discern.
It is the smallest
And the vulnerable
Who call
True attention
To the biggest
Issues
Left to tend.

Is the center of city
Somewhat an unlikely space
To transport apparitions
That seem so out of place,
Or do they
Just like others
Feel at home on this Earth?

Do not fear
The abrupt edge
Of life
When the path
Disappears
And clefts
Into strife.
Take a breath
Blow out fear
Know a brand new
Adventure
Is immediately
Near.

At awe at the glory
Of a nature so generous
It overspends
Overnight
To bedazzle all eyes
In prolific defiance
Of time.

Like the breeze
Licking yarn
Like the trees
Upon sand
Like the dock
Seeking sun
Let the lines
Run right through
From the heart
To beyond.

So many times the path ahead
Is shrouded in the mist
Of worry, fear
Of hopes and dreams
And all that we resist.
Though as we put one foot
Then next
And make the road our own,
We see the vague
Becomes defined
As steps our souls have
Known.

Partake in all that
Fills your heart
And makes your spirit
Sing.
In all that makes
This world
Your home
And offers
Hope
To bring.

Ah the copious talent
Mother Earth herself lent
To the hues and the flavors
In plenteous heft.

Flowers burst
From the ground
Green shoots sprout
All around
Birds a-chirp
Trills abound
As Spring is finally
Inbound.

Awaken to what never should have
Taken place,
Yet had.
The millions
Whose lives were snuffed by calculated horror
Tattooed hate,
Enslavement, and
Smoky clouds.
Remember it,
Because such evil
Should not be allowed,
And yet there are the voices
Still denying.
There are those
Who would repeat,
Who relish violence and
Lament “not finishing the job.”
Awaken,
To what never should have
Taken place.
Yet had.
