What an interesting photo – your poem works with it brilliantly. It is so true – we do walk pathways to the light that others carved out long, long ago.

And … I think we also often have the choice to decide whether we will, indeed, walk toward the light and learn from what history and others before us had taught us (or showed us what to do or not to do), or whether to repeat the past in ways that aren’t helpful or particularly light-filled …
