Sawatdi-kha

Sawatdi-kha NaamaYehuda

Photo: Na’ama Yehuda

Deep in ocean

She greets you

With palms pressed

In hello,

As you marvel

The glory

Of rocks carved

By time’s flow,

And the riches

Half-hidden

In turquoise waters

Below.

Note: “Sawatdi-kah” is the female form (said by females) of Thai greeting, often along with a “Wai” (a slight bow with palms pressed together).
