He copied how his father walked.
He mimicked his older sister.
He laughed at jokes nobody heard.
He scared the babysitter.
He wouldn’t do a thing
That wasn’t done by others.
He was an endless mirror
And annoyance to his brothers.
He drove them all to near insane
Till finally came the time
When he left to get
Hired as a mime.

Haha! Loved this, Na’ama 🙂

😀 glad you did, because it had the potential to be annoying … 😉

Never reached that threshold, but I can still sympathize with his family 🙂

🙂 I hear ya! Zany kids can be high-maintenance … but … that doesn’t always mean their zaniness should be squelched … 🙂

I feel for Zany Blayney’s family! However, this was fun to read so, their Mowry is our entertainment!

Yep. 🙂 And … if he does well, they’ll have been part of his inspiration … 😉

Mowry? What the hell did auto-correct do? Let’s try that again… Their MISERY is our entertainment…

LOL! I understood … and if it was their Mowry (some other insufferable family member? … ;)), we can still be entertained by him … 😉

Hahaha! I went to respond to your response and I was like whaaaaa? Mowry’s the big brother, no? LOL

I enjoyed my offering too. It posts tomorrow… while I’m out, catching up on my walks (rained off this weekend)

Good for you for catching up on your walks! Went for a nice one in Central Park earlier, too. The trees are starting to turn, the light was fabulous, the weather is still mild.

I was out today after all the winds and rain overthe weekend. So many fallen trees. And mist. It was misty all day long. But comfortable walking.

Oh, I love mist … I know it can get damp and achy after a while, but I do love the mood of mist and the wet air. Feels primordial and mysterious to me. 🙂 Then again, we don’t have too much of that here, so it carries some novelty (though I’d argue that my soul has lived in misty places before, for it feels like home to me …). 🙂

We have too much. Living between the sea and the marshes… if the morning mist doesn’t get you, the afternoon and evening mist will! 🙂

Yeah … sigh … it does feel like home to my soul, though. So, who knows … 😉

I agree. Where we are now, isn’t necessarily where we were then. My soul longs for Somerset: the Mendips and Glastonbury Tor. And if outside of England, then it’s the Black Sea shore

Na’ama Y’karah,
You made me laugh. I am a mime, you know. I believe Zany has found his niche. Good one.

🙂 Ah! I’m not such a good mime … though I can get by with some gestures and facial expressions (which I’ve had to use more of the last few days … oh well … perhaps that’s what sparked the inspiration … ;)). Happy Miming! How’s the fair going?

Not a lucrative venture at present but entertaining at least. 😉

🙂 I guess it would be, eh? I have been getting good ‘practice’ at my “Na’ama’s Zoom Theater” (a-la clinical sessions over virtual platforms …), but the sort-of-miming thing is a new (and hopefully VERY temporary) thing for me … Am on complete voice rest for a few days. Good thing I have an in-house SLP … 😉

Thanks … not sick, but there’s some blister/owee that needs time to heal. Annoying, most of all. BUT, thankful for typing fingers and the ability to connect via chat/message/text/email/facebook/etc … 😉 So I’m silent but not ‘silent’ … 😉
