They rose in steady hum of
Motors aiming to break
Clouds
And dispersed the waves upon the
Sand as life skittered
Aground.
They pointed nose into the
Sky with souls holding on well
And fast
As engines revved anew
And headed home
At last.
For the dVerse quadrille challenge: sky
So very good, my friend.
I have been staring at my picture of my sky for hours. Nuthin’. Might have to change my pic or sleep on it 😉 Or pass completely.

The sky ain’t falling (wait, running to the windah to double check … running back) – so … yeah … (panting, cuz, running …) it’ll be there tomorrow, too. (also, I hear that staring at the sky is good for ya. some call it meditation … just don’t get bird poop in your eyes. that’s not meditative. I know. been there done that but don’t got the t-shirt because it got bird-pooped on it, too, so…) 😉

Hahahaha! You are so funny. It’ll be there tomorrow, for sure. I do like to look at the sky (avoiding all poop, of course). Perhaps I shall be able to wake up early tomorrow and see the sunrise and be inspired.

The sky, ever our accompaniment, to our sorrows, to our joys, to our conflicts, to our peace, wedded forever to Earth

Amen, beautifully said …. and may it remain so, because … ya know … gravity and oxygen … 😉

The clouds often open long enough, invitingly, to welcome us home. Nice work.

Love the subtle rhyme here, and the lines flowing like water.

Thanks, De! 🙂 I’m glad it ebbed and flowed a bit as it took off and I hope it landed in a good spot … 🙂

I love to watch the clouds … if I ever found the time to do it.

Ah, we sneak time, don’t we? While waiting for the light to change in the crosswalk, while staring out the window for a moment, while waiting in line to get into a store (a reality in NYC now, given COVID limitations on number of people indoors), while running to and from this and that … 🙂
