Until you manage to get
Past the jagged edges
Of life’s cliff,
You’ll dream of rivers
Soothing through
The valleys
Of What If.
Till then you’ll hold on
To old anchors
That keep you
Safe from doom,
And luxuriate only
In dreams of
Rappelling out
Of your fear’s womb.
For the Word of the Day Challenge: Jagged
Love this.

Gosh, I think I might have got past those jagged edges. I definitely remember that journey.
A true observation of life, well penned. Yep, I’ll give it a like π

And … yeah, I think we most of us encounter life’s jagged edges here and there. Some higher a cliff than others … and some take some time in the planning before we can muster the courage and/or figure out the way to get past them … Memorable journey for sure … π

And sometimes, for all our planning, they catch us out and through us plummetting down. Dust ourself off, and plod back up.
