Photo: Philip Coons
I see a pattern
In these stairs:
In carpets’ weave
In craft-men’s squares,
In how the landings
Spin and dip,
With railings poised
To let hands grip,
In void that carries
Gaze to floor,
And legs that wish
To climb no more.

Thank you! I love that place! My friend took the photo but I remember being mesmerized by the place when I was there myself!

I know!!! Isn’t it? No place for anyone with any vertigo or fear of heights … Lovely place, though.
And … thanks re: the poem. It was fun to put together! ๐
