Portal To Tomorrow

In the portal to

Tomorrow

Let the trumpets

Ring not

Alarm

And rush to

Harm,

But stop to the

Hubris

Of war.

In the portal for

Tomorrow

May those men

Who rashly

Spend

The life of

Others,

Know the call

Of trumpets

Often heralded

Only pain,

More gore.

Enough.

Enough.

No more.

Roseate

Optimistic in nature

Does not mean roseate

For reality may

Introduce caveat

Of the need to remember

Many times of ill fate

While never forgetting

The good we can create.

Merriam-Webster’s word for June 10, 2018:

Roseate

Treat With Care

Treat this world

With care.

The wounds of past

The acts of now —

They are your very

Heartbeat

And weave

Your children’s

Only

Shelter.

Recreate 101

Recreate not what shouldn’t have happened

Yet had

But what should have taken place

And hadn’t

Or not quite as planned,

The seeds of which

Hold promise

To what may truly be

Worth recreating

When time

Once more

Comes around.
