The day rose bright but she knew better than to trust
Cornflower
Skies.
It will turn wet,
She knew,
As soon as her boots
Hit the ground.
The gift of rain
On golden epaulets
Glittering through muddy parade
Grounds.

Why didn’t you use the prompt word there?

Nice. I like it. Nothing like a little rain on a parade. 🙂

🙂 Yep, weeds our the melt-by-rain crowds and leave the hardy ones to celebrate! 😉

Thank you, Bill! I’ve been away for a few weeks of a complicated trip, but am back now and hope to resume ‘regular’ routines, including blogging. 🙂 Hope all’s well with you!

Rain is a gift! Lovely!

It is (though when too much of it falls too fast it can be a problem … ) 😉

We did! And I was fortunate to leave one day BEFORE of the Ida mess! Had I left a day later, I might not have left for days …

Thank goodness! I left before Ida hit and my flight was still cancelled… crock of doggy-do…

Oh, doogy doo indeedoo! That’s not nice at all to do to you!
I was really fortunate – a relative of mine was traveling Sep 1 (I left Aug 31) and they got stranded for several days, and then had trouble getting a decent flight, and only then got stuck in quarantine … (well, I had to ‘do’ quarantine, too, but I knew those were the regulations going in … (hey, I rhyme!).

I had to rush and get another PCR test to return to Canada as they cancelled my flight on the Saturday for the Sunday and so my test was more than 72 hours old. Sigh. But I didn’t have to quarantine, so there is that.
Not that I’m 100% complaining as I got to spend an extra day with my fella… xoxo

Ah, the silver lining! See?! Told ya that the fallenness is a goodness. 🙂
(I had my share of PCRs, too, because there’s one before the flight, one upon arrival, one to leave quarantine, and one to do before returning … and now did one as per recommendations to make sure that I did not ‘bring in’ anything other than what I wanted to bring with me …). My nose is a highway.

Absolutely.
And yes, I hear you. I got a grand total of four, too. Mind you, the US only needs the antigen so it’s a tad less invasive 😉

Oh, well, I’m a PCR pro … and in Israel they do both nose AND mouth. Ya know, for complete scrubberoo.

Do they go all the way to your brain through the nose? I’ve been lucky and avoided that one 🙂

I hear that for some people they did … In my case, I think my brain retreated and scrunched back as far away as possible … just in case … 😉 So I was spared a q tip brain biopsy… 😉
