Slivers Of Dreams

All those dreams that he had

As a child

Snug

Under covers

At night,

His tattered teddy

In arms.

His dreams

Parsed out

Into slivers

When

Under stars

At war,

His battered rifle

The only thing

He could

Hug.

    • Thank you, Rochelle! I think … And, if it speaks of the realities too many are facing, in all kinds of battlefields, perhaps they can know they are being seen … and perhaps one day we will evolved beyond violence and fighting and weapons of war, into better dreams. XOXO and Shabbat Shalom to you, too! Na’ama
