I am not yet
Extinct
From here.
The winds that came
Once more
To blow me into an
Oblivion of preemptive
Grief,
Are yet to fray
The threads that
Hold me
In the hope
That this time, too
Will turn
A test, not
Doom.
For the dVerse Quadrille Poetry Challenge: Extinction
Let’s hope all the winds are only tests.

One must always seek possibility Naβama, lest wonder die β then soon, the spirit.

True indeed! Thank you, Rob. There is always possibility, as long as there is breath, there’s hope.

It’s a wonderful credo, one that I hope continues.

Hope is slways good for us and it can be as small as an acorn that grows into an oak

Absolutely! Thank you for this comment and reminder — yes, hope is always there, and sometimes when we cannot hold it ourselves, there are others who can hold it for us, and that, too, is hope.

I love the hope in your words. In hope, it will turn a test, not doom.

Yay to resilience!
You should SEE my resilience muscles … π (let alone the unbelievable resilience muscles of the person this was written with in mind, who is once more facing difficult times with courage and is a wonder to me).

Yay to resilience, I say. Maybe we should instigate an Worldwide Resilience Day. π

I smile. Devilishly. But we might think it’s a good idea, yet… how to go about it. Should we just hold it in store, ready for when the ideas kick in?

Sounds good to me … π Though I will send out feelers to see if there’s something like that already. For who knows — for almost all that’s new has been done before! π

Yep, sure has. The only thing new under the sun is the exact arrangement of words. π

Onwards…ever onwards.
The fallen leaf, brittle and falling to dust.
And that dust passes into the earth and is food for the next cycle.
I owe those thoughts to that image and your words…
Thank you.

I love your positive outlook on the challenges that come at us in life! Well done.

Thank you, Roth! Challenges are almost guaranteed (granted, some get more than their share of them than others, for reasons that are sometimes completely unfathomable and totally unfair – as is the case for someone who I had in mind when I wrote this), and it is about how we manage and what we do with it and the outlook we adopt and keep and let others hold for us when we’re a bit too tired to do so ourselves.
Great comment! Thank you!

I like the arrangement of acorns and the anticipation of a test not doom.

Thanks, Frank, and Amen to our passing of tests rather than sliding into doom. In every way. Amen. π
