In the city where stairways
And buildings rise high
No surprise that car parks
Also aim for the sky …
Be aware it will take
Some time to dislodge
So it could be a tad tricky
To race out of Dodge…
For Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: engines and motors
Every time I see those, I think, nope… not gonna park THERE!!
Fun poem.

Very witty. I think Mark Twain might have liked this.

Perhaps … though perhaps he’d like it less if he had to wait for a car to ‘get down’ from the heights … π

Is that an actual car park???

Yep. We have quite a few of them downtown. You won’t park your own car, though … it’s too much of a zigsaw puzzle with lifts and hoists and what not … π

Wow, I’ve never seen something like that before! Not sure if it looks like a good idea or not! π

Well, it sure is a space-saving (and digging saving) idea where a sprawling car park is not an option … space is too precious in NYC … The cars have to ‘cover their cost in rent’ (reflected in parking prices in NYC, too…) or they won’t be able to keep that spot of land a parking lot and end up with a high-rise building instead …

That is a very good point! I think they could do with some of those in the UK!

Well, that’s also why I don’t keep a car in NYC … Too insane!
