Rapids

Flowing AdiRozenZvi

And the waters

Rushed

Over slicked rocks

Into ravines.

Deafening the song

Of birds,

And burbling of

Fish,

Into thunder

Mist

As the bamboo

Creaked.

    • LOL! Yeah, I hear ya. It was a tad disconcerting but after you see ten stories high scaffolding of rickety bamboo holding up workers and supplies you get a better appreciation for the strength of this particular plant … Bamboo truly is amazing. Almost everything along the jungle path was built from it – bridges, hand holds, railings, decks, fences, foot holds. Replacement materials grow right at hand …

  1. I agree with the others who commented the noise, we feel the roar of the waters, good use of onomatopoeia with rushed and burbling, and the use of deafening and thunder draw the ear further in, well done!
