Do Not Quail

hold on

When powerful

Pound podiums

With rabid lies

To sow mistrust,

Don’t falter

From the facts

Of what is wrong

And what is right.

Don’t quail before

Deep cruelty

That shreds your heart

To cries.

Step forth

For those who have no voice,

Be brave

And mobilize.

  1. Dear Na’ama: You surpass yourself.
I read this in tears. I have spent half my life in intensive therapy for what is now called complex post-traumatic syndrome disorder CPTSD (hope I got that right!) I cannot imagine what will happen to these children. They (and their families) are being destroyed before our eyes.
PS I look forward to your political statements each day. You are brave. Love TS

    • I am sorry for all the pain you’d endured and manage, and I share your concern about the plight these children are put through. I hope that they’ll soon be reunited with their parents and I desperately hope they’ll have resources extended to them to do whatever can be done to help minimize the damage with healing and repair the attachment disruption that is forced upon them with this spiteful policy. Thank you for your comment. May there be no need for such commentary soon. Take good care!
