Candle lighting
The edge
Of the world
And the margins
Of time
To the endless
Flicker
Of loss.
[For Kathryn: you became light eight years ago today. We all loved you. We all love you more.]
For Sammi’s Weekend Writing Prompt: Endless in 18 words
What a beautiful tribute, Na’ama.

She was such a good friend to so many, that it is a simultaneous sorrow and heart-filling joy to remember her. I’m so glad I got to know her. xoxo

There are people who come into our lives and make an impact. I know not of whom you speak but can feel the love.

Yes, indeed! Kathryn was a fab person and a good friend to all her friends. She was a photographer and artist, and later on, a therapist and all-around-healing-soul. She took the photo I use as my ‘profile photo’ everywhere (I don’t care it’s quite a few years younger than I am now – I love it and I love how it reminds me of her and is a memory to her in the process. T’was a fun day in Central Park when she took that one and it always makes me smile. 🙂 )
Kathryn was one of those people you meet and your soul knows you’ve been friends in previous lifetimes and probably will again, no matter in what form either one of you return. You know the kind, right? Silliness and giggles and love of life and popovers and the like. 🙂

That is a beautiful thing.
And yes, I do know the kind.
And one is lucky to meet one of those!

Na’ama Y’karah,
Having read the exchange between you and Dale, I understand what a treasure Kathryn was. Someone like that leaves a light that death can’t extinguish. Lovely tribute.

Yes! Thank you, dear one. Kathtyn was a dear friend to many, and she’s already ‘spending time’ in heaven with another dear-to-me person whom she knew and who passed on 18 month after her. I have a feeling they are ‘hanging out’ together since and keeping space for the rest of us who’ll join them at some point (no rush… ;)) . 🙂

Thank you, Keith! Kathryn was the light of many people’s lives – a gentle soul and a good friend to many, some who were closer to her than I was. She certainly touched my life and I am ever delighted that I got to know her. And, yes, she continues to be a light to all who knew her! 🙂 Na’ama

Amen to that! 🙂 I know she’s hanging out with another friend who passed 18 months later … They were friends before, and I bet they’re friends now in the after. They better keep me a seat for whenever (I’m in no rush… ;))
