He stood back then to admire his handiwork.
A wall of boxes. Most of them no longer wiggling.
It was do or die.

I don’t think ANYONE deserves such treatment … but I do know there are some who have no scruples when it comes to saving themselves … or making others ‘pay’ if they believe they’d been wronged …

Alas, yes, that is true.
I’ve known a couple of those and I think many around the world know OF at least another … and it is always a devastating reality to be around such people.
The good news is that MOST people aren’t like that, and most people see right through them. Sooner or later.

Yeah, so dark it caught me by surprise! Then again, when there are realities of people who would destroy others and justify it as ‘necessary’ if they believe themselves slighted and who care naught about the cost to anyone but themselves… I guess there’s fodder for all kinds of stories to come out of the woodwork, eh? 😉
