“Is that where it goes in or is that where it comes out?”
Shirley thought it was obvious, but it was true one should not assume, let alone when something appeared to be mundane but could be the exact opposite. She took a step forward and leaned closer.
“Step back, you fool!” Daniella pulled her neighbor away from the bin that had just manifested onto their shared driveway. She should have known Shirley would be impulsive. The woman once cut into her own potentially-prize-winning rhubarb pie before the contest was even over. “Are you trying to get abducted?”

She does, too, and perhaps she might live it on a different edge altogether soon … 😉

Living life on the edge. I’m curious about the bin.
These characters work well together; the cautious and the adventurous.

Thanks … yeah, me curious about that bin, too … so I’m gonna hang back a bit and see what happens … (while I eat me some pie)

One neighbour with an over-developed sense of curiosity, the other with an abundance of caution. Sounds ideal.

Na’ama Y’karah,
My husband’s grandmother used to make a rhubarb cobbler that was amazing. Just the right amount of sweet and tart. 😉 Now that Shirley, I’d say she’s treading on a thin driveway.

LOL, yeah, quite thin crust there … 😉
And … I ADORE Rhubarb pie. My hands down favorite. Of course, if the balance is right and the tartness is there and the crust is good … (OK, my gonna see about baking … ;))

Shirley hasn’t seen enough Twilight Zone episodes. Probably too busy eating prize-winning pies, bless her heart 😂

LOL! Great comment! Yep, I think you must be right. Or, she wants to spread the joy of baking lovely pies, galactic-wise. 🙂

On second thought, is the a pre-abduction interview? I mean, what if it’s a better place? Maybe they don’t have things like viruses or political debates.
Headline: Woman Abducted by Dumpster, claims eye witness.

LOL! Love this! Yeah, maybe they don’t have debatable debates! How many can they fit on their ship?

Oh, that’s sad … not have rhubarb not agree with one … 😦
I hope you found good beloved substitutes!

No, it’s not the rhubarb. It’s the carbs.

ooooooooooooooooooh. double sad … 😉 (I know others who don’t do well with carbs, though my body doesn’t mind them and I can’t imagine my little body getting enough nourishment without bread and other carbs).

My body is lesrning to consume its stores of fat! It’s working. No hunger. Steady weight loss. Blood sugar levels minimal. I’m happy & healthy

Good for you! Just comes to show how we are all different with different needs and metabolisms and bodies and should be able to make the choices that are right for us and to BE who we are. 🙂

Well, I am a trimmer person than I was 3 months ago. Does that define me? No. But it does make me feel different. I don’t occupy so much space. And as I said, I have energy. Not boundless, but not far off!

Good! The important thing is that you’d feel better! 🙂 Weight and size and age or ability should not define anyone – we are each unique for a reason, and as long as you do what is right for your body, then you are doing the right thing for YOU! 🙂 Yay for energy!
