“Mama, he’s touching me!”

She tightened her grip on the steering wheel.

“Mama, he’s breathing on me!”

She inhaled.

“How come he always gets the window?”

She sighed.

“I don’t have room!”

She braked.

“Stop this or you can all walk home!”

  1. Och, lawdy. I could write this scene 100 different ways in as many different places, but only because I can not longer recall two-thirds of them.
    They’re all in their 40s now, and have had their own experiences. It was good I loved them, cuz i’d long before had enough. 🙂
