The Harbinger

In the slowest hour of the night

She came in robes

Of dreams

To weave the nearest future

Into light.

She swished along the desert

Roads that only

Deepest yearnings

Take

And whispered:

It shall be.

You’ll find the path

To follow when you

Wake.

    • Thank you, Kathy! Yes, so much consolidation and processing and ‘remembering’ and re-imagining takes place during sleep, and/or during the quite times when our minds may be asleep but our soul certainly remains listening. 🙂 Na’ama

    • Thanks Laureen! Funny that you’d ask about “The Alchemist”! I didn’t actually read it yet. Several years ago I’d gotten a copy, and it never quite got home with me because a friend fell ill and I had given her the book to keep her company in the hospital. Then I forgot all about it, and life went on … and then a few weeks ago a neighbor left a copy of the book in our buildings ‘share free stuff’ corner. I picked it up and didn’t read it yet, but I think I might soon now that you’d mentioned it! 🙂 Life does have a way of circulating things back to one if one is meant to see them, eh? 🙂
