In the slowest hour of the night
She came in robes
Of dreams
To weave the nearest future
Into light.
She swished along the desert
Roads that only
Deepest yearnings
Take
And whispered:
It shall be.
You’ll find the path
To follow when you
Wake.
For the d’Verse challenge: Harbinger
Lovely. And ironically, your two posts bookend mine…

Workin’ on it… still. Took a supper break, then a FB chit-chat break (actually, I got roped into a friend’s whining session) and now I’m back to the post… should be soon-ish.

Thank you! 🙂 May it be one that we remember when we wake … 🙂

Much of what we do stems from a dream in the night. Very well written.

Thank you, Kathy! Yes, so much consolidation and processing and ‘remembering’ and re-imagining takes place during sleep, and/or during the quite times when our minds may be asleep but our soul certainly remains listening. 🙂 Na’ama

Fascinating and touching. Did you read Paulo Coelho’s “The Alchemist”?

Thanks Laureen! Funny that you’d ask about “The Alchemist”! I didn’t actually read it yet. Several years ago I’d gotten a copy, and it never quite got home with me because a friend fell ill and I had given her the book to keep her company in the hospital. Then I forgot all about it, and life went on … and then a few weeks ago a neighbor left a copy of the book in our buildings ‘share free stuff’ corner. I picked it up and didn’t read it yet, but I think I might soon now that you’d mentioned it! 🙂 Life does have a way of circulating things back to one if one is meant to see them, eh? 🙂

In my opinion that is one of the basic statements of the book.
All the best to you

I love that phrase. There’s a serene feel to this poem – a feel of awakening into light. It’s lovely.
